A Bit About W. J.

W. J. Brown is the author of Significant (Ambassador International, 2020) and Into the Winds of Fear (PublishAmerica, 2005).

His fascination for biological warfare and diverse terrains began when he studied Natural Resources Environmental Science at Purdue University, which was followed by graduate and doctoral degrees in Communication Theory at the University of South California.

A professor and research fellow at Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA, Dr. Brown’s catalogue of publications also includes nonfiction books, a memoir, and numerous scholarly articles. He teaches hundreds of graduate and doctoral students each year, sharing his zeal for and wisdom of entertainment-education for social change, media effects, and the social influence of celebrities.

Dr. Brown and his wife, Nancy, found their home in Chesapeake, VA after exploring cultures all over the world in places such as Hawaii, Hong Kong, Burma, Norway, Tanzania, the UK, and Italy. They continue to travel to work with non-profits in Europe, Asia, and Africa and to visit their 2 children and 7 grandchildren.  When he’s not teaching or traveling, Dr. Brown can be found scuba-diving, sailing, hiking, or sipping Kona coffee.
